Nia is proclaimed the winner of OT 2020 , the most atypical edition in the history of musical talent that, marked by the coronavirus and a confinement that forced it to interrupt its broadcast and develop a final stretch without an audience on set, closes with a long final gala, issued five months after the start of the season. Eva Barreiro from A Coruña finished third.
Nia Correia (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1992), the most complete artist with the most drive and energy on stage this season, becomes the winner of a "historic edition", as Roberto Lea l said at the beginning of the final gala, thanks to an incontestable 45% of votes from the public.
After discarding Anaju (15%) and Hugo (13%), who were Country Email List left with the fourth and fifth finalist position, respectively, the gala moved on to a second phase in which Nia, Eva and Flavio fought in a final duel which ended with the Canarian in first place, Flavio in second (32%) and Eva in third place (23%).
The final gala of OT 2020 began with the five finalists performing, as a medley and as is tradition in the format, the songs they sang at that gala 0 that took place five months ago, making this edition the longest of the history.
Twenty years after the first broadcast of Operación Triunfo , Televisión Española presented, on January 12, 2020, its eleventh edition and it also did so with the youngest generation in the history of the program. Tonight, curiously, it was Nia, the oldest contestant with the most musical experience, who took home the 100,000 euros and the winner's trophy.
"Photography is very weak," he laments. "With this thing (the virus), more so. There are always clients. We are paddling. Although with this mobile phone thing..." he turns his head.
